I started the Reconstructable House project in the nineties when I was working in the civil engineering area. I participated in the construction of new building and later on also in their dismantling and disposal. In these roles I saw the huge amount of time, money and energy to create buildings that were supposed to stay for ages but were demolished two dozen years later, even when the building was totally fit for purpose, but didn’t match the current taste or economical demands.

I was so impressed by this waste that I started to think and work on a concept for buildings that can be mounted easily and eventually demounted into its pieces that all pieces can be reused and a much better ecological and economical balance could be achieved and eventually turned this effort into the “Reconstructable House” project.
